I am constantly asked by everyone how to get started with couponing. I typed up a list a while back to share with friends, that I will be glad to share with you. Hope this helps guide you in the right direction.
Things you will need to get started:
The news paper is the most important thing, Wednesday through Sundays paper. In these you will find the weekly adds and of course on Sunday you will get the coupons.
Internet access, Consumers are connecting more with people and offering coupons more now on the internet than ever. A facebook account is important as well, because they offer coupons or even have give aways. If you don't have one get one.
A printer, of course with the internet access you are going to want to print coupons.
Finally a binder, a great binder system helps keep the biggest couponer organized.
Places to go to search for coupons:
coupons.com, smartsource.com, redplum.com. There are also clipping services that you can use, that will sell individual coupons or whole inserts. One example is couponbeat.com, they will not charge a fee for clipping the coupons but for the process of the coupons.
What to do with the coupons once you have them:
You are going to want to pair these coupons with great sales in order to get the best deals. Every week the retailers will put out adds that you will match the coupons up with. I will also be posting blogs to different stores to show you where you will get the great deals from!
